Mount Hood Diabetes Health Economics Conference in Clinical Decision Making 2024
This year, the Mount Hood Diabetes Health Economics Conference in Clinical Decision Making was held from November 23-24 at the Henry Cheng International Conference Centre, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Our partner, Prof. Amanda Adler from the University of Oxford, was attending and presenting the REDDIE project.
The Mount Hood Diabetes Challenge Network has been running a diabetes health economics and computer simulation modelling conference bi-annually since 1999. The conference is a great platform for exchanging ideas and fostering collaboration between developers and users of diabetes health economic and simulation models.
This year’s conference brought together leading researchers and stakeholders to explore the economic dimensions of diabetes management and complications. The event showcased innovative simulation models and highlighted collective efforts to address global challenges in diabetes health economics.
For Prof. Adler, the 2024 conference holds special significance, as the organization will assume hosting responsibilities for the next Mount Hood Diabetes Health Economics Conference in 2026. This participation offered valuable insights and an opportunity to build on the tradition of excellence the conference represents.
Prof. Adler is proud to contribute to the advancement of diabetes health economics and is committed to supporting global efforts to improve outcomes for people living with diabetes. The insights and connections gained this year will be invaluable as we prepare for 2026, when REDDIE will be a part of the organization committee. We’re excited to build on the rich history of the Mount Hood Challenge and contribute to advancing diabetes health economics for better global outcomes.
