World Health Day 2026
Every year on 7 April, World Health Day highlights a key global health priority. In 2026, the focus is on “Together for health. Stand with science.”
For REDDIE, this message goes hand in hand with another essential principle: science is strongest when it reflects the realities of people living with diabetes. REDDIE aims to improve diabetes outcomes by leveraging real-world data and advanced analytics. But behind every dataset are individuals, daily routines, and personal challenges.
To ensure that real needs are reflected in the project’s work, REDDIE actively involves people living with diabetes through its Patient Advisory Committee (PAC). By integrating patient perspectives, REDDIE strengthens the link between scientific innovation and real-world impact. For this year’s World Health Day, we want to highlight what trust in science and evidence means for the members of our Patient Advisory Committee.

For people living with diabetes, scientific progress is not just theory, it directly shapes daily life.

This reflects the broader World Health Day message: standing with science also means ensuring it delivers meaningful impact for people. Collaboration between researchers and patients is essential.

On World Health Day, REDDIE reaffirms its commitment to combining scientific excellence with patient engagement. By working together, we can ensure that research is not only innovative but also truly aligned with the needs of those it serves.
